Head and Heart (Ignis X Reader)
Tap, tap, tap, I drum a fingernail on the counter as I watch the diner door, squinting against the morning sun. This whole place is more of a pit stop than an actual town so morning rush might just be three people which we’ve already reached, but if someone else comes in I’ll have at least a little more to do.
Through the large windows I catch a car drive by and stare after it. I wonder where they’re going, what all is out there…
“Hey, are you going to serve that customer or what?” I’m snapped out of my thoughts by the cook. He gestures to a man who came in the diner while I was staring out the window.
I scrunch my face in annoyance and consider showing it to the cook but rush out from behind the counter instead. As I near the booth in the back corner my mood lightens; it’s him.
OK I don’t actually know who he is, but I see him in here sometimes with three other guys whom he seems to always worry about and look after,
